Facebook users are experiencing another round of difficulties in accessing the company’s applications, including Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA — The situation remains to be on a more minor scale than the massive outage, which left its applications inaccessible for about six hours, Facebook suffered from several days prior.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products,” the company said on its verified Twitter account on Friday. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
However, on a smaller scale, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were reported of having disruptions for most of Monday in the United States.
This was due to “configuration changes on the backbone routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers” and which “caused issues that interrupted this communication,” according to Facebook. (HMP/The MiNT)
