Australia commission okays PH duty-free canned pineapples

Duty-free canned pineapples from the Philippines may begin export trade with Australia as the country down under has lifted anti-dumping measures imposed on canned Philippine pineapple, said the Department of Agriculture.

MANILA — The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission said in a report on 06 October that measures were discontinued after the body determined that the expiration “will neither lead to dumping of the products concerned nor cause material injury to the domestic industry.”

Meanwhile, the measures expire on 17 October for consumer canned pineapple, and 13 November for food service industrial canned pineapple. (RA/The MiNT)
